Church Service
A funeral service in a Church provides the environment for a denominational or non-denominational service with a minister to celebrate the life of a loved one. Services are relaxing and of course held indoors, and offer sound and audio visual systems to hear and see tributes and recall memories.
The entire funeral service can be held in the Church or can then include a cemetery or crematorium committal service.
Most Churches offer the option for light refreshments following the service providing the opportunity to catch up with family and friends.
Please contact us to discuss your requirements in more detail.

Cemetery Services
A Cemetery funeral service is held at the graveside and provides for a more compact service held outdoors. Flexibility is available when choosing a clergy or celebrant to conduct the service offering a choice of a denominational or non-denomination style of service.. Some seating and cover from the weather can be offered.
Please contact us to discuss your requirements in more detail.
Cremation Service
In general, a Cremation is generally a second part, or a follow-on to a Church service. The crematorium we generally used is based in the ACT which is approximately three hours drive each way. We will arrange the cremation for you and bring the cremated remains back for you. Alternatively, you can travel to the ACT with us and have a short chapel service there, called a committal service, following the local Church service.
Please contact us to discuss your requirements in more detail.
Other Options
Other options are available and may suit individual requirements accordingly. They include:
- Direct No Service No Attendance – using this option we will look after the deceased and provide a dignified final journey without the need for you to organise and attend a service, or be there for the committal.
- Service and/or Burial/Cremation elsewhere in NSW – the choice may be made to transport the deceased to another location in NSW for the service and/or committal. You can also choose to have a local service as well as one in the destination location prior to the committal.
- Inter-State or Overseas – our services can include the transporting of the deceased to another State for care and committal. We can provide a local Funeral Service as required and them ship the deceased to the other State.
Please contact us to discuss your requirements in more detail.

Latest Update on COVID-19.
In line with the current Federal Government directives Allens Funerals remains open and able to provide funeral services for our families.
To enable us to comply with government restrictions, we have implemented the following measures which apply to all funeral services until further notice:
- All funeral services are restricted to a maximum of 100 people.
- The maximum number allowed for a specific facility may vary and be less.
- Social distancing rules will apply at all funerals.
Should the Federal Government directives change, Allens Funerals will implement such changes accordingly.
